Applying for a grant

If you are applying for a grant to support your organisations work we are able to provide you with assistance to ensure you are successful in your application.

The detail of a grant application generally needs to be completed by the individual organisation, but we are able to provide advice and critique an application or review financial projections within the document.

Occasionally, a due diligence exercise is required by the grant making body to ensure that the company is viable, meets the criteria for the grant and has the appropriate resources to see the project through. A recent example included a £2.3 million grant under the Regional Growth Fund.

If you are awarded a grant

If you have been successful and are awarded a grant, you are likely to be required to submit regular claims and reports and sometimes they need to be independently certified by an accountant.   It is important that you keep check on any deadlines, and plan the work accordingly.   As well as our own audit clients, we undertake this work for much larger organisations, who already have their own ‘Big Four’ firm of external auditors.
