This weekend the Rawlinsons’ team face two days of extreme challenges, with the two most demanding events from their ’75 Charitable Acts in 75 Days’ schedule to mark the firm’s 75th anniversary.
On Friday 8 July Alex Finch, Gemma Mason, Joanna Bacon, Richard Monkhouse and Vicky Wailen will participate in the Peterborough Cathedral Abseil, a truly unforgettable experience! The team will harness up and descend 150 feet from the side of the Cathedral’s iconic West Front under the watchful eye of the experienced team from Derby Mountain Rescue.
On Saturday 9 July Alex, Gemma and Richard will be joined by Bradley Stimson, Bimal Manak, Craig Tolliday and Reece Gordon to take on a mammoth 75km walk. The route, starting at 4.30am, is predominately based around Rutland Water, there will be two laps and then a finishing sprint into Stamford to end on the bridge next to the George Hotel at approximately 8.30pm. The team have been enthusiastically training for the past 2 months and are ready to face the challenge!
Rawlinsons is taking part in these extreme events to raise much needed funds for local charities. Donations can be made through our Virgin Giving page where your contribution will be split equally between our five chosen charities:
