Rawlinsons is once again hosting the highly successful annual Charity Conference at Kingsgate Conference Centre in Peterborough on June 12.
This popular, free full-day event – now in its eighth year – is one of the biggest in the region with over 120 delegates attending each year.
This year’s event features a series of speakers and breakout sessions, specifically designed to help and support charities of all shapes and sizes. In addition to general updates regarding the Charity Commission and current tax issues, topics this year include:
- Charity governance
- Making good grant applications
- Successful consortia
- Mental health awareness
- Maximising online giving
- Tax reclaims under Gift Aid
- Stakeholder relationships
- Top ten tips for charities
- Charities and business partnerships
- What does GDPR mean to charities
- Why health and safety is so important
“The conference agenda is suitable for employees and trustees of charities as well as new and potential trustees. In addition to the formal content, the opportunity to meet and learn from each other, is always appreciated.” said Mark Jackson, senior director at Rawlinsons.
“Peterborough has a thriving charity sector from small community based groups to the big household names – which is one of the reasons this annual event is always so well supported,” he added.
The event is free to charities (£50 + VAT to others) and registration for the event will commence at 9am, with the presentations taking place between 9.30am and 4pm, with a buffet lunch provided to allow for further discussion and networking.
