Chris Collier FCA CTA – Senior Partner

Chris Collier joined Rawlinsons in 1967 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1972 and as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1974, the same year he became Partner.  He acts for many owner-managed businesses of all sizes and his consultancy includes reviewing their strategic development and business plans, business purchases and sale of private companies.  Chris is also a Director of Rawlinsons P.I.P. Limited.

Chris is a regular speaker at seminars and is also recognised by The Law Society as an expert witness.  Chris, who became senior partner in 1999, follows Denis Rawlinson’s example, encouraging Rawlinsons to be involved in the community.  He is a founder member of the NSPCC Peterborough Business Support Group, holding the role of Chairman since 1998.  Within his role of Chairman he regularly visits and talks to prospective Business Support Groups and has been as far as Belfast and Southampton.  He is also a past member of the Soke Round Table of which he was Chairman in 1983/84.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his 2 children, reading, playing golf and watching most sports.

Andy Cox BA (Hons) FCA CTA – Partner

Andy qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 with a national firm before joining Rawlinsons in 1991. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and became a Partner of the firm in 1996.

Andy provides audit, accountancy, financial planning and taxation advice to a range of owner managed businesses, charities and education providers.  He also advises on start up and early stage development of businesses.

Andy is a member of the Audit and Assurance Faculty, special interest group charity and voluntary sector and is also branch treasurer for local SportsAid Eastern Charity.  In addition he is a former director of Business Link (East) and a former director of BUGLIFE The Invertebrate Conservation Trust.

Prior to entering accountancy Andy taught Physical Education for 5 years having gained his Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Loughborough University.  In his spare time he enjoys playing green bowls and watching sport, particularly rugby and cricket.

Ken Craig BA (Hons) FCCA CTA – Partner

Ken graduated in 1987 with a BA (Hons) in European Finance & Accounting from Leeds and a Diplom Betriebswirt from Bremen, Germany.  He joined Rawlinsons in 1988 and qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1993 and with the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1994, becoming an associate in 1998 and a partner in 2002.

Ken is a Chartered Tax Adviser and works with a wide range of clients throughout the UK and abroad, assisting partnerships, companies and individuals with their accounting and tax affairs and helping them to start up and to plan and mitigate tax liabilities more effectively. In addition, he has specialist knowledge of medical practices and is a member of AISMA (Association of Independent Medical Accountants). 

Ken is a regular seminar presenter and contributes articles to the business pages of the local press and magazines.

Ken is a member of the Rotary Club of Peterborough, a governor of the Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a founder member of the Peterborough (POSH) Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International).  Ken’s personal interests include playing golf and watching most sports.

Colin Crowley FCA DipPFS – Executive Partner

Colin joined Rawlinsons in 1982 after completing a short career Commission in the Royal Navy.  Colin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 and became a Partner of the firm in 1990 where he has developed specialist roles in the fields of Tax Consultancy, Investment Business and Litigation Support.  He advises on complicated re-structuring issues, the implementation of specialist tax strategies and on farming tax issues for families and businesses. Colin is also a Director of Rawlinsons P.I.P. Limited.

Colin is a member of the Institute Tax Faculty, a member of the Country Land Association (CLA), a registered individual with the FSA and a qualified member of the Personal Finance Society.  In the finance category Colin is also involved with the Institutes solicitors’ interest group and farming and rural business groups.  He also acts as trustee and executor of a number of trusts and wills. 

He is also a former chairman and current member of the Peterborough Group of Chartered Accountants and a Judge for Young Enterprise East of England.

Outside of work Colin’s interests include historical re-enactment, spectator of most sports and playing golf (badly!).

Mark Jackson FCA – Partner

Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 and joined Rawlinsons in 1994.  Mark became an Associate in 1998 and was then made a Partner in 2002.  He works for a wide range of corporate clients and not-for-profit organisations including charities and schools, he is also a member of the Charity & Voluntary Sector Special Interest Group.  His work includes audit and accounts, general corporate taxation, due diligence and cashflow forecasts.

Mark has also been involved in a number of seminars and also runs our Business Builder Forums, where business owners meet to discover practical solutions to business problems.

Outside of work, Mark is treasurer of a not for profit retirement home a member of Park Road Baptist Church and is involved with youth work in the community.

Graham Jones BA (Hons) FCA– Partner

Graham joined the Peterborough office of Thomas May & Co in 1983 and was a partner for 8 years prior to the merger with Rawlinsons in April 2006.  He has a BA Hons degree in Accountancy and Finance and qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1987.  Graham provides audit and accounting services in all areas from large UK subsidiary companies of multinational corporations to small start up companies, partnerships and sole traders including charities, solicitors accounts rules, IR35 clients and information technology.

Graham is a group member of the Audit and Assurance Faculty and a past member of the (Ortons) Rotary Club.  His personal interests include archery where he shoots for the county on a regular basis, photography, going to the gym and fell walking in the Lake District.

Kevin Woodthorpe FCA CTA – Executive Partner

Kevin joined the Peterborough office of Thomas May & Co in 1964 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser in 1970 and became a Partner in 1974.

With a wealth of experience, Kevin is able to provide management consultancy work, business and corporate finance services and a range of inheritance tax, trust and other tax planning advice.  Kevin has acted as company secretary and has been a board member of a number of SME companies.  Kevin is also a regular seminar presenter.

Kevin is a past-President of The Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Society of Chartered Accountants, and has also chaired working groups reporting to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Kevin is also President of the Cambridgeshire Valuation Tribunal and a Member of The Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers, a City Livery company, and a past member of the Round Table and Rotary Club.

Although a black belt at Judo and former international, Kevin’s present interests include, music, fast sports cars, sailing and clay pigeon shooting.

Kevin is married with 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren

Julie Bloodworth ACA TEP – Associate

Julie joined the Peterborough office of Thomas May & Co in 1993 after graduating from De Montfort University.  Julie worked primarily in audit and accountancy but soon after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 moved into the tax department where she now specialises in providing tax services to a wide range of clients.  Julie became an Associate of the firm in April 2008 and has also recently passed the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Diploma. 

Julie is able to provide accountancy and tax services to partnerships, companies and individuals, including personal and corporate tax planning.  In addition Julie advises on estate planning, the preparation trust and estate accounts and tax returns and the drafting of Wills.  She also acts as a trustee.

Outside of work most of Julie’s spare time is spent with her 2 small children enjoying various activities such as swimming and cycling.  She also likes to play tennis and go to the gym.

Tracey Richardson ACA - Associate

Tracey graduated from Southampton University, with a degree in Accountancy and Finance and commenced training with Rawlinsons in 1998 then qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2001.  Tracey became an Associate of the firm in April 2008. 

Since qualification Tracey manages our specialist audit team and has a broad range of experience in accounts preparation and audit for companies, charities, pension schemes and also specialises in work for the legal profession and LLP’s.  Tracey is also a member of the Audit and Assurance Faculty.

Outside of work Tracey enjoys Yoga exercise, however most of her spare time is spent with her 3 young children.
